
An education knowledge hub was among the items approved during the GOC’s first meeting of the year on March 19 as part of its business plan and budget for 2025-26.
A £300k allocation from strategic reserves was approved to fund key projects with £210k allocated for the hub to support education providers implementing the GOC’s updated education and training requirements.
A series of thematic reviews to support the strategic objective of ‘preventing harm through agile regulation’ were also discussed, starting with ‘commercial practices and patient safety’.
Other key projects included introducing a dedicated Project Delivery Unit and an upcoming GOC office move, expected to save £1m over the next five years.
