General Optical Council registrants have overwhelmingly showed their confidence in new Standards of Practice introduced by the regulator in April 2016.
Research carried out by the GOC was said to have found 85% of over 4,000 respondents felt confident in their ability to meet the new standards and 91 per cent of OOs and DOs said they had a good understanding of the measures.
Alistair Bridge, GOC director of strategy, said: ‘We have worked hard to communicate and actively promote the new standards to registrants. It is therefore pleasing to see that registrants are responding positively. Most importantly, we are pleased that respondents feel confident in their ability to apply the new standards in their daily practice.’
