GOC releases final 2016-18 CET cycle report

GOC publishes the final report evaluation of its 2016-18 CET cycle

The GOC has published the final report evaluation of its 2016-18 CET cycle after a review of the data within its MyCET administrative online platform.

Data was analysed for the review from January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018 to evaluate the effectiveness of the CET scheme. The report found that 81% of registrants completed more than the minimum CET requirements and 72% of registrants who were required to complete a peer review session did so.

Head of standards and CET at the GOC Marcus Dye said: ‘The findings and recommendations within the evaluation report will inform improvements to the scheme, as well as the CET Review. We will be considering further ways of embedding reflective practice and ensuring flexibility to accommodate changes in scopes of practice.’
