The General Optical Council has described new arrangements for continuing education and training in contact lenses as 'a compromise situation' which places less burden on some practitioners but makes CET more valuable.

Last month the GOC agreed proposals for the next three-year CET cycle that will provide a basis for a revalidation for optometrists and dispensing opticians from January 2013 (News Focus, 01.10.10).
