Swiss eyewear manufacturer Götti has released its autumn 2013 ophthalmic frame collection. Ultra-thin acetate and experimentation with three-dimensional shapes are the key style trends for the new range, which comprises 11 styles.

The Sylvan and Sandro styles
(1) show off the current trend for thin acetate perfectly. A 3D milling production technique uses acetate sheets just 4mm thick and gives the frame a lightweight look and feel. Both models feature large silhouettes, but don’t appear too heavy as a result of the production and the layered colour scheme – which shows sections of translucent acetate. Constructed from acetate and titanium, the Nico and Norris
(2) frames both feature three-dimensional shaping on the metal fronts and ultra-thin acetate temples. Nico has a large rectangular silhouette with rounded corners and flat brow line while the Norris has a more feminine shape with a small butterfly-inspired profile.
The Avaldia and August styles
(3) have mixed vintage styling with modern production methods and materials. Constructed primarily from titanium, the frames feature a thin ring of acetate around the eye shape. Avaldi has a modified panto shape while the August model sports an on-trend round profile. Period details include filigree around the outer edge of the frame.
