GOS survey launched

Practitioners have been asked about the future of NHS eye care

Optician has asked eye care practitioners if they have considered ending NHS services at their practices in a new survey.

A survey has been launched in recognition of a divide between optical practices in England and to establish what the future of general ophthalmic services (GOS) looks like.

Many practices believe they are being inadequately remunerated for providing GOS but there are some who believe the pandemic has created an opportunity for the profession to highlight its value to NHS England.
