Grafton donates perimeter to City

Grafton Optical has donated a Dicon LD400 perimeter to City UniversityÕs department of optometry in London.
The equipment which has new Ôadvanced fieldlink softwareÕ enables the practitioner to import results and information automatically into the patientÕs database, and allows monitoring of the patientÕs fields.
Brian Bowles, director of Grafton, said: ÔThis makes the Dicon perimeter the most advanced of its kind featuring the latest software techniques, allowing the practitioner to diagnose and monitor with greater ease and accuracy.Õ
Mr Bowles presented the equipment to City UniversityÕs Helen OÕKelly, director of the universityÕs Fight for Sight optometric clinic and the EyeNET research web site.
Features of the perimeter include: a new patient recognition system which looks for similar names when creating patient labels, so eliminating duplicates; enhanced e-mail support for attaching patient files; and new and updated software including that relevant for driving assessments.
