Grafton Optical has launched the Rexxam FieldNavigator, a head-mounted, gaze-analysing perimeter that it said represented a significant advancement in visual field evaluation.
The device used eye-tracking technology to assess visual fields and was said to provide a more objective and reliable alternative to traditional static perimetry.
It eliminated the need for button pressing, which Grafton said would reduce the possibility of false positives and negatives associated with patient response-based systems.
