Green mark for Blackpool’s Woodhouse

The independent opticians have been recognised for environmental efforts

Woodhouse the Opticians in Blackpool has been recognised with an environmental certification after a review was carried out by an auditor.

The independent optical practice received the Green Mark accreditation, which will be displayed in practice to assure patients they have conducted business to high environmental standards.

As part of it sustainability efforts, Woodhouse developed an environmental policy that included: compliance with regulatory requirements, continually improve and monitor environmental performance, and increasing employee awareness and training.

Sukie Woodhouse, director at Woodhouse the Opticians, said: ‘Green Mark helped us create a framework to make sure we have the correct tools to monitor and reduce our emissions going forward, as well as communicating internally and externally how we are doing this.’
