Three new styles from Dunelm Optical are designed to capitalise on the trend for thin acetate frames. The company said demand had ‘rocketed’ during 2013 and predicted further growth next year.
Peter Beaumont, director of Dunelm Optical, said: ‘These must-have styles are a good example of what is selling well right now. While heavy plastics remain popular, slim designs are equally in demand.’
The women’s Celine Dion 7115 style (1) has a cat’s eye silhouette with thin, rounded temples and silver details. The Janet Reger 4098 model (2) has a subtle rectangular shape with gentle rounded corners. The chocolate brown hue is complemented by snakeskin and gold-effect temples. For men, the Paul Costelloe 5092 model (3) has a large rectangular silhouette with thin temples, rather than the typically heavy-set designs used on frames of this type.
