Haag-Streit BA904 portable slit lamp now meets new standards

Haag-Streit UK has announced that the Clement Clarke Ophthalmic BA904 portable slit lamp is now fully-compliable with IEC 60601-1 3rd edition standards.

The BA904 can be used for hand-held operation or easily reassembled for more traditional joystick and headrest operation.

To meet the 3rd Edition standards the BA904 has undergone safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and environmental testing. This included temperature, vibration and humidity testing. The unit also underwent minor design improvements. The base of the device has been given a sturdier design, which provides more stability for the user.
