Hakim Group commits to VAO trek

Practitioners from the Hakim Group have set their sights on raising at least £10,000 for charity Vision Aid Overseas (VAO).

The group’s CEO Imran Hakim (pictured) will join a team on an eight-mile trek across the sands of Morecambe Bay, Lancashire on June 8.

Vera Wilton, a trustee for VAO and consultant optometrist for the Hakim Group organising the trek, said: ‘We are working on the possibility of match funding, which means we could double our target to £20,000.’

The walk, beginning in Arnside and finishing at Kents Bay, was expected to take around four hours. Contact verawilton@googlemail.com to sign up.
