‘Soul of Leadership’ was the theme of Hakim Group’s second Irish retreat at Killary Lodge in Connemara on February 23-25, the goal to ‘explore deeper self-discovery at the soul level’.
Clodagh McGovern, optometrist and director at several Hakim Group independent practices in Ireland, led the retreat for 25 practice partners and managers, and highlighted the value of gaining personal insight and sharing it with others.
‘We envisioned a weekend where our teams could immerse themselves in learning, reflection, and of course, enjoyment. It was wonderful to have our practice teams in Ireland together to do just that. It has been a huge success,’ said McGovern.
To facilitate the programme, Clodagh collaborated with Claire Campbell, The Life and Soul Coach, to bring clarity on how to connect with the soul’s essence, strengths and characteristics in the context of leadership and business.
Dr Michael Harding delivered a presentation on Plato’s Allegory of the Cave as a metaphor for breaking free from the illusions that bind us and following our path of self-actualisation.
Terrilee Tennant, learning and development business partner for Hakim Group, also presented an analysis of each participant’s top strengths to unleash their potential and achieve higher levels of success. The event was sponsored by Braemar Finance.
