Health message takes centre stage at NEHW

Practitioners, organisations, companies and media outlets countrywide worked in tandem recently to increase awareness of eye health matters during the fourth National Eye Health Week (September 16-22).

Optometrist and chair of National Eye Health Week Francesca Marchetti began the week by joining Chris Evans on the BBC Radio 2 breakfast show. During her appearance, Marchetti spoke about the annual awareness campaign and importance of regular sight tests in helping to detect eye diseases. On Friday September 20, Radio 2 also played host to Dr Hilary Jones, who spoke about his own eye health experiences on Steve Wright’s afternoon show.
