An early review of an 18-month conditional registration placed on optometrist Anthony Plimmer on June 30, 2010 has been made by a fitness to practise committee on the basis of non-compliance.

An early review of an 18-month conditional registration placed on optometrist Anthony Plimmer on June 30, 2010 has been made by a fitness to practise committee on the basis of non-compliance.

The condition had been imposed as a result of evidence that in May to November 2009 a series of concerns were raised regarding Plimmer's practice in a number of cases. These included patients' history and symptoms not being identified or recorded, incorrect prescriptions being issued and no record of recommendations outlined. It also included a lack of detection of a potential glaucoma case and a lack of notes relating to those patients whose visual acuity fell beneath the required legal standard for driving.
