Heidelberg Engineering hosts online symposium

Heidelberg Engineering held a successful virtual symposium after it chose not to cancel its 30^th Anniversary International Imaging Symposium because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The German imaging equipment company delivered a 36-hour programme, including 43 live presentations, to over 2,000 attendees. Topics covered included the present and future of diagnostics and explored the retina, glaucoma, the anterior segment and healthcare IT concerns.

A workshop channel that provided training on image acquisition with Heidelberg products was offered alongside the scientific programme and included live demonstrations of the products in use.

Heidelberg’s head of UK marketing and education, Emily Malbon, commented: ‘The Virtual Imaging Symposium provides a template of how virtual events should be conducted for the benefit of both the participant and the industry partner.
