Hemp Eyewear: Spiced frames

Edinburgh-based Hemp Eyewear has released the first frame in its new Special Edition Turmeric range.

Hemp Eyewear constructs its frames by hand using sustainably grown organic French hemp, creating a strong, lightweight material that the company said is comparable to carbon fibre.

Turmeric Primrose is a 1950s style bold cat’s eye frame with a down-sweeping bridge and rims that thicken at the outer extremities.

With the addition of turmeric, the Turmeric Primrose frame takes on a deep yellow colour that supplements the hemp-textured, cat-eyed rims. The collection makes use of a range of natural dyes, from blueberries to beetroot.

Each Hemp Eyewear frame comes with free personalised engraving alongside a hemp box, carry-pouch and cleaning cloth.
