Japanese video game creator Hideo Kojima has partnered with French eyewear brand J.F. Rey in a collaboration that promises to interpret avant-garde aesthetic vision with neo-retro influences. Designs are said to combine Kojima’s futuristic and technological work with J.F. Rey’s elegance and craftsmanship.
The Icons range includes three acetate, titanium and stainless-steel combinations, creating light effects on the front, and featuring laser-cut detailing of Kojima’s signature and a metal insert on the ends of the titanium sides. The two models in the Carbon Inside range are made from acetate and carbon fibres to offer style, lightness and resistance.
Artist prints feature, such as matt black, a blue and black camo pattern, marble, or granite effect acetate. The Polarized series models are distinguished by their flip-up aluminium solar clips, available in black or grey, which are designed to perfectly fit the acetate frames.
