Hilco has released a new Rx sunglass collection and a new frame screw system.
The new metal sunglass range comprises three styles, each available in two sizes and three colours. Frames feature a wraparound shape and are made from stainless steel. Non-slip silicone nose pads are used for additional comfort and rubber end tips aid stability. Lenses are polycarbonate offer UV protection and were said to be impact resistant.
The Logic Screw system follows on from the manufacturer's Logic Nose Pad system released in the late 90s. The screw has been designed to cover a number of uses. It can be used as a locking screw which can be snapped off to length, as a self-tapping repair screw and as a self-aligning repair spring hinge screw. The manufacturer said the system could replace every eyewire and hinge screw used in practices and equated to an 80 per cent reduction in inventory.
