Hilfiger and Viva join forces

Tommy Hilfiger Licensing has announced a multi-year global licensing agreement with Viva International for the manufacture and distribution of Tommy Hilfiger eyewear.

The optical line is due in the autumn, with sunglasses to follow in the spring of 2004.
Hilfiger has had an eyewear business under licence since the mid 1990s and its previous licence with Lantis Eyewear recently concluded.
Viva president Harvey Ross said that the new partnership would allow the brand to build its customer base and grow its global business in men's, women's and children's styles. 'We feel confident that our experience in the eyewear industry, coupled with the quality of the products and design philosophy of Tommy Hilfiger, will make the partnership tremendously successful,' he added.
