Holmes made Eye Health director

Jo Holmes has been appointed trustee and director of the Eye Health UK charity

Jo Holmes has been appointed trustee and director of the Eye Health UK charity, replacing Ian Anderson as representative for the Association of British Dispensing Opticians (ABDO).

With over thirty years' experience, roles as dispensing optician and practice manager, immediate-past president of ABDO and current chair of ABDO’s Benevolent Fund, Holmes has been well-equipped for the role.

Jo Holmes commented: ‘Eye Health UK plays a vital role in promoting positive eye care messages to the public and I’m delighted to be able to play a part in setting the future direction for the charity’s public eye health promotions.’

Chair of Eye Health UK, David Cartwright, added: ‘I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Jo to our board, she brings a wealth of skills, experience and knowledge, as well as a passion for improving the nation’s vision and eye health.
