Vision Care for Homeless People is to open its eighth clinic

Vision Care for Homeless People is to open its eighth clinic at the end of the month in Leeds city centre’s St George’s Crypt on Great George Street.

The charity said Yorkshire OO Paul Appleson was a driving force behind the creation of the new clinic, which will run on Mondays from 10.30am to 3pm.

‘A group of us want to do something to help the local homeless community. Leeds is a great city, but it also has some of the problems of a great city too,’ he said.

Optical suppliers supporting the project include Specsavers, local lab Rawdon Optical, Optoplast and Three Sixty.
