Organisers of National Eye Health Week (NEHW) have called on eye care professionals and the optical industry to get involved with this year’s campaign.
The week (September 23-29) once again aimed to raise awareness about eye health to prevent avoidable sight loss for future generations and share essential eye care advice.
David Cartwright, chair of Eye Health UK, the organising charity behind NEHW, said: ‘NEHW is a key calendar moment for promoting optics and helping people take better care of their eyes.
‘This year’s campaign feels particularly timely as the new government commits to reduce waiting times and focus on prevention.
