Optician reports on presentations covering eyewear, AI and myopia from the event’s education programme

The doors open at 100% Optical 2024

A core differentiator of 100% Optical from trade shows in Europe is its extensive continuing professional development programme and plethora of presentations on the exhibition floor.

At the 10th edition, which took place at ExCeL London on 24-26 February, education was once again designed in partnership with the Association of Optometrists.

The three-day event included sessions on eyewear trends, managing glaucoma patients, the role of technology in practice and myopia. The Optician team rounds up the key talking points.

 

On the first day of the show, nine key eyewear trends for 2025 were discussed by Selin Olmsted, founder and creative director of the New York-based Selin Olmsted Studio, pictured right.
