​Fashion website Lyst reports 66% increase in searches for sustainable fashion

Fashion website Lyst has found that there has been a 66% increase in searches for sustainable fashion since 2018.

Online searches for keywords such as ethical brands and econyl, a regenerated nylon material, have risen by more than half and

organic cotton searches increased by 16% year on year. The growing interest from consumers in sustainable denim has resulted in a 187% increase in page views on Lyst.

Since October 2018, searches for vegan leather bags and shoes have risen by 119% and the term vegan fashion was responsible for more than 9.3 million social impressions. Lyst has predicted that by 2020, 10% of all fashion purchases on Lyst will be made with sustainability in mind.
