More entries are being sought by the FMO for its Optra Awards, Frames of 2009.
The Federation reports that numerous entries have been received, but most have been in the children's categories andas a result itis inviting more submissions, especially in the adult ophthalmic and sunglass sections.
'We are seeking the most fashionable, innovative and inspiring frames that reflect the style of 2009 and these will be showcased at Optrafair and filmed for Optrafair TV,' said Malcom Polley, chief executive of the FMO.
This year the Federation will be contacting the winning companies and runners-up before the show to enable them to maximise the impact of the winning frames on their stands.
