Institute presents 2001 pre-registration awards

The Institute of Optometry recently held its Summer Party and awarded its prizes for 2001.
Outgoing director Judith Morris presented the six awards at the party at the end of last month. The Stephen Dawson Prize for general improvement over the year given to the pre-registration student who has also been a consistent and diligent member of the Tuesday evening clinic went to Amardeep Padda.
The Stephen Dawson Prize for general improvement over the year given to the pre-reg who has also been a consistent and diligent member of the evening clinic on Wednesday nights went to Pui-San Wong.
The Library Prize for clinical skills exhibited over the year was awarded to Jai Shah.
Adam Samuels won the Optometry Today Prize.
The Adrian Evans Memorial Prize for the pre-reg who has shown exceptional skills in communicating with child patients through a caring, friendly and emphatic approach went to Menachem Salasnik. The Daina Gromadzki Prize for the most sociable Monday nighter went to Jonathan Bourton.
