Community Eyecare has invested in a fleet of mini buses and launched its home to hospital scheme to help patients who struggle with travelling to their eye care appointments.
Jack Bower, logistics officer at Community Eyecare, said: ‘Giving back to the community is something very important to us all at Community Eyecare, so if our transportation service can help even one patient to ultimately have better eyesight sooner, it is worth the significant investment we have made.’
Covid-19 safety measures have been implemented, such as sanitising mini buses between trips, supplying hand gel for patients and drivers who wear face masks, to reassure vulnerable patients.
