Practitioners who might consider standing for election to the General Optical Council are invited to a open day at Harley Street to get an understanding of the regulator from the inside.

The June 22 event, which begins at 9.30am, includes presentations on the role of being a council member, a talk on 'who we are and what we do' and a tour of the GOC's HQ.

As well as these specially arranged items those who come forward will be invited to sit on that day's full council meeting which takes place at Chandos House, Queen Anne Street.
