It’s ‘you’re hired’ for Vision Express apprentices

Twenty-two trainees have graduated from an apprenticeship programme run by Vision Express

The multiple said this year’s cohort had seen off competition from an average of 50 applicants for each place. There are now 120 apprentices in the Vision Express group.

The 13-month programme sees students placed in practices part time and each works towards a level 2, intermediate apprenticeship in health (optical retail), the equivalent of five GCSEs. Once that is gained, the apprentices develop their careers at the multiple’s practices around the country.

Vision Express HR director Kate Clayton said: ‘It’s great to see such young talent being brought into the business.
