Bluesky Optical has been appointed sole distributor in the UK and Ireland for the new range of eyewear from Italian design house Alessi.
The brand’s new distributor will officially unveil the range to the UK market at Optrafair London on April 11-13 2014, after a deal was agreed with Alessi and its manufacturing partner 101 Studio at Silmo in September. The Kompas collection comprises 15 ophthalmic frames and eight sunglass styles, each designed in conjunction with Belgian industrial designer Frederic Gooris. Full details of the range, which features a magnetic hinge design, will appear in a future edition of Optician.
