Jack Allen Contact Lenses celebrated its 50th anniversary in May and shared the story of how the business was founded and became known for its Profile keratoconus range.
The company was started in 1973 by Jack Allen in the back of an optical practice in North London and has operated out of its laboratory in Enfield since the mid-1990s.
Allen brought in Bill Wilson to help with production and over the next 45 years, the pair worked together, including 31 years as business partners, until 2017 when Allen retired.
Wilson continues to lead the business as managing director. He thanked staff, customers and his family for their support as Jack Allen Contact Lenses celebrated its golden jubilee.
