Jill Sander has released its winter 2011 collection of sunglasses and ophthalmic frames. The designer said it had intended to make a bold statement with the new collections, through new colourations and modified silhouettes.
The oversize JS6585 (1) sunglass and JS2664 (2) frame employ a new scratched stone texture. The sunglass model sports an oversize shape with graduated tinted lenses which contrasts with the red colour scheme. A subtle stamped Jill Sander logo is a departure from the brash branding trend seen in sunglasses over the past two or so years. The frame design has a 50s cat's eye shape and sports a purple take on the new stone finish. A recessed logo plaque gives the frame some subtle branding.
The JS2669 (3) and JS2668 (4) frames both have classic soft rectangular shapes, but experiment with colours and sculpting. Model JS2669 has an on-trend brown crystal front which is juxtaposed with the bold, matt brown temples. The latter design has softer lines and a two-tone colour scheme on the frame's edges - which are sculptured below the temples.
