Johnson & Johnson agrees to acquire Abbott Medical Optics for $4.325bn in cash

Johnson & Johnson has agreed to acquire Abbott Medical Optics, a subsidiary of Abbott Laboratories, for $4.325bn in cash.

AMO, which reported sales of $1.1bn for 2015, has ophthalmic products in cataract surgery, laser refractive surgery and consumer eye health segments, including solutions and eye drops.
