J&J Vision supports cataract education

It helped ophthalmologists with patient materials for Cataract Awareness Month

Johnson & Johnson Vision supported UK ophthalmologists with patient education materials as part of Cataract Awareness Month in June.

J&J Vision connected with eye care professionals to provide downloadable materials on laser cataract systems, intraocular lenses and refractive laser treatments.

It developed the DocFinder tool to help improve or accelerate access to treatment and educate people about the importance of regular eye exams. This has launched in the US and should launch in Europe in 2023.

Sam Whiting, general manager UK and Ireland of surgical vision at J&J Vision, said: ‘Over 330,000 cataract operations are performed each year in England but we want to continue to build patients’ understanding and access to solutions.’
