J K London has launched two new ophthalmic frame collections, City and Soho – both inspired by the city of London and its multi-faceted nature.

‘The brand has long been a firm favourite with independent opticians who appreciate being able to offer their customers extremely wearable, flattering styles with just the right degree of fashion forward thinking,’ said a manufacturer spokesperson on the brand.

Models in the City collection have been designed to reflect the smart and professional nature of the city. Pictured from the collection are the men’s Brewer Street (1) and women’s Charlotte Street (2) models. The Brewer Street shape has a rectangular silhouette with mixed acetate and metal construction. Charlotte Street employs a similar mixed media strategy but uses a soft interpretation of the cat’s eye silhouette. Of particular interest is the way the metal temple disappears into a small groove on the frame’s lugs.
