Frame distributor and manufacturer Eye Respect recently launched 14 new designs in the John Varvatos eyewear collection at an open day at London's Dean Street Townhouse in Soho.
Many of the latest sunglasses, all of which are glazeable, use matt finished acetate, often duo coloured, teaming darker and lighter shades, for example black with dark tortoiseshell on the inner side. The acetate sides of the Japanese-made line are sculpted and polished for comfort and both the sunglass and optical designs have metal end tips hallmarked with the Varvatos launch date of 2000, a guitar, crown and JV initials. The guitar head also appears as a metal hinge detail through the collection.
