Every two years Keeler awards the scholarship to a young ophthalmologist to study and gain knowledge at centres around the world. Michael Marmor (pictured), professor of ophthalmology at Stanford School of Medicine, California delivered a lecture on his specialist topic of vision and eye disease in art.

Keeler marketing manager Laura Haverley said: ‘The Keeler Scholarship is a great programme to help scholars acquire new skills that benefit the development and progress of ophthalmology in the UK. We’re delighted to have invested in this programme for twenty-five years and look forward to helping more scholars in the future.’
