Optometrist and AOP councillor Lynn White is urging practitioners who fit lenses for keratoconus and would welcome keratoconic patients into their practice to register on a database.
The list is being compiled by White in conjunction with the UK Keratoconus Self Help and Support Group and will be published on its website www.keratoconus-group.org.uk. The list will include practice details, access to topography and also hospital clinics in which the practitioner also works.
Practitioners enrolling on the list will also be invited to a forum restricted to professionals where they can discuss keratoconus with other optometrists.
