Kirk and Kirk's re-shaped acrylics

It has taken Kirk & Kirk five years to develop the material used in what it calls the world’s first handmade, acrylic sunglasses.

The bold, chunky frame has a lightweight feel for all day wear and comes in an array of new colour options, including iris lavender, crimson red and tiger orange.

Designer and creative director at Kirk & Kirk, Karen Kirk, said: ‘Throughout the creative design process, I focused on standout colours that are flattering to the wearer and their skin tone, rather than finding the right accessory to match an outfit.’

Frame shapes draw inspiration from iconic, retro silhouettes and the acrylic fronts are contrasted by metal temples.
