Kodak launches photochromic lens aid

The company said it developed the product (pictured) following the success of Kodak SunSensors. The unit reacts plastic photochromic lenses 'extremely quickly' by exposing them to a blast of UV. It has a safety mechanism to only activate once both lenses are in place. Signet added that the unit was compact and used similar materials to the latest I-Mac computers. Signet Armorlite has also added a prescription sunlens to the Kodak Lens range. UVSun Lenses are polarised prescription sunlenses available in single vision in grey and brown. The company added that the lenses eliminate 99.8 per cent of glare and give full UV protection. They are recommended for driving, fishing, sailing and skiing. - Details on 01452 720201.
