In preparation for direct trading with opticians and for what it described as 'significant new hardware and software launches', Kowa Optimed has made three new appointments in sales and support.
Kevin Hughes has joined the company as northern service engineer responsible for customers in the north of England and Scotland. Hughes has 11 years' experience in optics gained with the likes of Hoya. Kowa said he was particularly knowledgeable in the integration of diagnostic technology with practice management IT systems.
Coming from the aviation industry, Lauren Paull has joined the company as medical sales co-ordinator, a role which will use her experience gained in dealing with customer service support for high precision technologies. Claire Hirons will work closely with Paull in her new role as accounts and administration manager. The pair will be based at the company's UK headquarters in Sandhurst, Berkshire.
