Three employees of Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care have teamed together to fundraise for medical research and patient support charity RP Fighting Blindness

A three strong team from Leightons Opticians & Hearing Care  are riding their bikes 137km to raise money for  Retinitis Pigmentosa charity RP Fighting Blindness.

Cyclists Stephen Wordley, Mark Davies and Conor O'Kane will set off from Poole, passing through Totton, Stag Gates, Chandlers Ford, Winchester and Andover before completing their challenge in Basingstoke.

Wordley has RP in his close family, which prompted him to raise funds for RP Fighting Blindness. 'It is having seen the effects of retinitis pigmentosa within my own family that I have been inspired to don the lycra and take on this challenge with two of my colleagues; we will huff, puff, strain, sweat, ache and ache some more, however it will be temporary, whereas RP is with you for life,' he said.
