Ocular Sciences has released what it claims to be the world's first disposable aspheric contact lens that corrects spherical aberration.
The company has launched the Biomedics 55 Premier on the US and Canadian market. It will be launched as Biomedics Evolution UV in the UK in the autumn. Ocular Sciences says its new lens is the first to simultaneously correct for aberration in the contact lens and the patient's eye.
