Literature accreditation

The Macular Society has been recognised for its high standard of patient literature

Accreditation for achieving a high standard of patient literature has been awarded to the Macular Society by the Patient Information Forum (Pif).

The charity was awarded the Pif Tick (Trusted Information Creator), which is a quality mark for health information that replaced the Information Standard earlier this year.

Kevin Franklin, advice and information service manager at the Macular Society, said: ‘Right now, so much information is available about so many subjects, particularly online. A nationally-recognised accreditation for the quality of the information we provide around macular disease means that anyone using these services can be assured of their reliability and trustworthiness.’
