A new developer partner was selected following a competitive tender and the platform was piloted by Cheshire and Derbyshire LOCs.
Lisa Stonham, information officer at Locsu, said: ‘The previous platform was quite difficult to use, whereas the WordPress content management system is comparatively easy. The template webpages are also structured to provide a good experience for visitors, with straightforward navigation and a clean design.’
Once an LOC has switched to the new platform, a template site is created that can be tailored by choosing colours and adding logos.
