LOCSU draws up three year strategic plan

Meeting the challenges and opportunities of NHS England’s Call To Action is at the heart of LOCSU’s latest three year plan.

The with Local Optical Committee’s Support Unit’s stragety for 2014-17 was draw up following discussions with the LOCs to ensure they are equipped to meet NHS changes and opportunities from NHS England’s Call to Action.

The plans also supports Local Eye Heath Networks (LEHNs) and other  stakeholders  developing the integration of services across primary and secondary care.  Katrina Venerus, LOCSU Managing Director, said: ‘The response from LOCs during the consultation exercise was overwhelmingly positive. Requests from LOCs included more help with engaging contractors and practitioners, support for succession planning, and training for LOCs to be able to determine whether an LOC Company is delivering value.’
