Over 700 optical professionals attended the ‘New View’ themed event held at Church House in Westminster, which emphasised insight, inspiration and innovation through its programme of speakers.
Up to nine interactive CET points were on offer for optometrists and contact lens opticians with eight interactive points applicable to dispensing opticians. The event was organised by the Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Institute.
Dr Noel Brennan presented two lectures in which he challenged conventional thinking on first the role of hydrogels in modern practice and then myopia control. Dr Trusit Dave spoke on the challenges of correcting presbyopes in contact lenses and Damian Lake conducted an interactive talk on anterior eye that drew on his extensive experience as a consultant ophthalmic surgeon.
