Le Petite Lunette Rouge revisits the 80s’ clip-on sunglass aesthetic

For a relatively new brand, Le Petite Lunette Rouge (LPLR) can count on some pretty good celebrity wearers already – Chris Brown and Elton John to name but two, both of which found the brand themselves.

LPLR was formed after an encounter between designer Alison Hemmes and Hilarhi Arcade, founder of the brand. Both shared a passion for contemporary art and list Lucky Strike packaging designer Raymond Loewy among their influences. They wanted to revisit the 80s’ clip-on sunglass aesthetic and did so by incorporating red line detailing on all of its frame designs – which are made by hand in France.
