Multinational eyewear maker and retailer Luxottica has announced its full-year results for 2005, with consolidated sales for the year growing 34.4 per cent to €4.37bn.
Much of this growth came from the integration of the US retail chain Cole National, which increased the group’s total retail sales 40.5 per cent to €3.30bn. Like-for-like retail sales grew 5.5 per cent.

Total wholesale turnover for the year grew 19.7 per cent to €1.31bn, with Ray-Ban, Bulgari, Chanel, Prada and Versace (pictured) performing well.
Results from the October launch of the new Dolce & Gabbana collections were also ‘extremely strong’.
